ANALYSIS

Jamieson signed a homegrown contract with LA Galaxy on February 20th 2014, making his MLS debut on July 19th and providing an assist as a second half substitute. A starting member of the US National Team U17 and U20 teams, Jaimeson played 11 games with the U17 side scoring two goals and has played nine games with the U20 side scoring three goals.

The budding talent originally signed with Cosmos West Academy, where he played six games in USSDA before joining Chivas USA. In two seasons with Chivas, he played 14 games and scored 8 goals before switching to sign with the LA Galaxy Academy. Jamieson started the 2013 season with the LA Galaxy U18 USSDA team, scoring three goals in 11 games while also playing two games with the LA Galaxy reserves. He committed to University of California before electing to sign a professional contract with the Galaxy.

Jamieson played the 2014 season with LA Galaxy II, scoring six goals in 18 games on his way to winning USL Rookie of Year and going on to play two games with the first team. He is expected to split time in 2015 with LA Galaxy II and in the MLS side, while also being a key contributor to the United States Olympic qualifying team.

When Jamieson signed his Homegrown contract, LA Galaxy Head Coach Bruce Arena said “Bradford is a talented forward who will continue to develop and grow within our system.” Jamieson has excellent speed, good agility and balance on the ball. He can shoot from distance and is athletically gifted, however needs to become stronger if he is projected to play center forward. That said, he has good size standing at 6-foot-1. His main area of development right now is off the ball, looking to improve his overall defensive awareness as well as his crossing when he plays on the wing.
