ANALYSIS:

Molham “Mo” Babouli is a winger or striker with an ability to be in the right place at the right time in terms of finishing chances. Babouli averaged more than a goal a game with Dixie Soccer at the U-17 level in the Ontario Youth Soccer League, scoring 32 goals in 30 games. His displays at youth level earned him a spot on the 2011 NCAA Junior College All-America team, scoring 17 goals and adding 15 assists as a freshman for Georgia Perimeter College on their way to the the national tournament.

Returning to Toronto, Babouli became part of the Toronto FC Academy team and played in the inaugural League 1 Ontario. This is where the forward really broke out, finishing the season with a league leading 26 goals and winning player of the week on three separate occasions during the season. Babouli attended Sheridan College during the 2014-2015 school year, helping the Bruins win the Ontario and Canadian College Championships.

He signed his first professional contract with Toronto FC II of United Soccer League on March 12, 2015. He is one of the most active shooters in the USL based on shot per minute, showing that he’s not shy to test the keeper. Babouli has many different offensive skills, including an ability to connect with a free kick. However there are a few issues that need improvement in his game, including defensive and tactical awareness. Babouli is also passionate which has led to disciplinary issues in the past, known for being overly aggressive and sometimes speaks out of turn which has led him into trouble with the referees.

Babouli signed an MLS contract with Toronto FC first team on March 5, 2016.
