ANALYSIS

Lozano has been a potential prospect from the CONCACAF region for a number of years starting in Honduran top division at the age of 15 years old with CD Olimpia. Scoring 11 goals for the Honduras U17 team including four in the 2009 CONCACAF U17 Championship and qualifying for the U17 World Cup where he scored against Germany to making his senior debut as an 18 year old in 2011.

Lorenzo went the direction of signing with a large European academy signing with Valencia in 2011 after a trial with Tottenham Hotspur. He played two season in Spain first on loan with Alcoyano and then a season with Valencia B team although played mostly on the bench and only scored three goals in Spain

He return to Olimpia in Honduras and over the last two seasons has been one of the Honduran Primera leading goal scorers with 30 plus goals over the two seasons. He also made an impact during the 2014-2015 CONCACAF Champions League scoring four goals and connecting with 13 shots on target with his club winning the Honduran title and making it to the quarter finals of the Champions League.

In terms of a higher level of play the biggest concern regarding Lozano as can he convert his chances as he does have a history of missed opportunities especially during his time in Spain. Overall he is a fast player with great dribbling and ball control skills and plays both long ball situations and as the single forward up front very well. His defense is poor and he is not a great passer so what he provides is fairly one dimensional but in terms of skills and potential he is more developed then many other players at his age.
