ANALYSIS:

Chris played a key role on a Christian Brothers Academy side that went undefeated and won the 2011 New Jersey state championship. He joined the New York Red Bulls USSDA U-18 side, playing in 28 games before attending Bucknell University. When signing with Bucknell, head coach Brendan Nash said “Chris is your prototypical creative midfielder. He is not the strongest or fastest player on the field but he is usually the smartest and most competitive. His vision and technical ability will create quite a few chances for all of the guys in our attack”

Chris finished his four year NCAA Division 1 career playing in 81 games, scoring 20 goals and adding 17 direct assists. He was named to the All-Patriot second team in 2012 and the first team the last three years and was also named to the all-region team as a senior. Thorsheim also played with the Red Bulls NPSL and PDL development clubs, including the 2015 NY Red Bulls U-23 side that made it to the PDL finals.

Chris signed a Homegrown Contract with the New York Red Bulls for the 2016 season and is expected to spend time with New York Red Bulls II in an attacking and holding midfield role.
